Reda Sport Coat Fabrics

We’re excited to announce our new Reda fabric collections from the famed Italian mill. Founded in 1865 in the Biella region, Reda is guided by the Botto Poala family, which vertically integrates their supply chain from their farms in New Zealand to the yarn and the final manufacturing.

These two collections feature easy-to-wear sport coat and blazer options for your wardrobe. Whether you want to wear them at the office, to a restaurant or a casual wedding, Reda’s jacketing offers dozens of patterns and colors that pair easily with our dress trousers, chinos and custom jeans.

The collection is divided into two: Summer Edit and Winter Edit. But don’t let the names fool you as both can be worn in multiple seasons.

The Winter Edit features 100% virgin wool jacketing that weighs between 260-280g/mt, putting it in the light to mid-weight spectrum that’s similar to most of our year-round suiting we provide. Fabrics are brushed for a softer, lighter hand feel. We consider the 260g fabrics to be something most can wear through 2-to-3 seasons to encompass early fall to late spring, whereas the 280g fabrics are slightly thicker and truly feel and look like fall-winter pieces.

The Summer Edit features more diversity and likely will be more versatile for our clientele. First, it includes true summer fabrics that blend linen and wool (58/42) and wool-silk-linen (75/20/5) for a slubby appearance that varies the color saturation due to the linen content. But the true winner is the 240g 100% virgin wool sport jacketing with elegant plaids, gunchecks, and patterned hopsacks in a true “year-round” weight and feel. None of the patterns are too loud and you’ll likely find several you enjoy adding to your wardrobe.

We’ve put the swatches from both collections online to order remotely: Winter Edit and Summer Edit. And of course, you can you view all of these swatches at any of our showrooms by appointment. Pricing for a sport coat ranges from $1400 to $1600 depending on fabric selected.
